Nuttin' Ordinary Cream Cheese

I love supporting small businesses, especially ones that are from the cute little town I lived in before moving to Vegas. Nuttin’ Ordinary is different than a lot of the other vegan name brands you know and love. They choose to use simple, clean ingredients, without the use of added oils, thickeners, and gums like a lot of other items on the market. Does it taste differently than what you might remember dairy products tasting like? Yes, and that’s okay. All their items are full of flavor and end up being staples you crave with a new twist on what you might be accustomed to.

They also go out of their way to use a proprietary probiotic blend and production process to culture their cheese, and give you added benefits along with a tang that is delish! You can taste the tang from the probiotics that helps it taste similar to traditional cream cheese. They are the first 100% plant based cheese manufacturer in New England which makes it easy to find in stores in that area. Thankfully you can order online if you live outside of that area. If you do order online, the packaging they send your food in is minimal, reusable, and sustainable which I love. I respect a company that takes that time to think about things like that when they are shipping their goods.

I was sent their two new flavored cream cheeses that I was pumped to try. I got the chive and onion, and the garden veggie flavors, and both are bomb. Made from high quality non-GMO cashews from legit suppliers which is a great high protein base. They also make sure the process to make their products is sustainable as well. They work hard to be zero waste and minimal in their water usage. These cheeses freeze well too if you buy a lot and want to space out how quickly you eat through them.

The garden veggie is a flavor I have seen done by other brands, but I never usually buy. I was excited to try this for that reason and will be buying this one again for sure. I love the large pieces of veggies you see and taste in the cheese. Some spreads like this use the smallest dehydrated veggies or just ground spices that taste like the vegetables. Not this spread. You know what you are getting when you open the tub, and it pairs well with a savor sandwich or sauce. I am a big chive and onion gal, but I think this one might take the lead for me out of the two of them. It was a nice surprise because I always favor chive and onion anything, which helped it take the lead.

A fan favorite is of course chive and onion cream cheese. You can’t go wrong with that combo in my opinion. This one also has large pieces of chive that you can see and taste which I again love. This one is a great staple if you don’t want to venture out to bolder flavors. Definitely will be buying this one again for sure.

I made bagel sandwiches for the first sampling of both flavors, but I think I am going to make a pasta dish with the rest of the cheese. I’ve seen other people do something similar and I have the perfect noodles to make a cheesy, nutritious meal.

Thanks again to Nuttin’ Ordinary for sending me these tasty samples and I look forward to what other new items they come up with. Have you tried their items before? What do you think of it? Let me know in the comments below!

Thanks for reading,

Jessica
